Welcome to my September 2018 monthly wrap-up! I’ve now officially made it through the halfway mark of my business degree, as I finished up my units of Product Management and Market Research. I also finally got my writing hat back on and published a article that I’ve being slowly putting together for months — my first personal finance book list.

Hopefully I can get back into writing more often now, as sometimes I feel that writing university assignments sucks all the words out of me. Heading into the last quarter of 2018, I’m really starting to focus on increasing my productivity, and ensuring that I continue making progress towards my goals.

Interesting Tidbits From Around the Web

“Death is a strange thing. People live their whole lives as if it does not exist, and yet it’s often one of the great motivations for the living. Some of us, in time, become so conscious of it that we live harder, more obstinately, with more fury. Some need its constant presence to even be aware of its antithesis. Others become so preoccupied with it that they go into the waiting room long before it has announced its arrival. We fear it, yet most of us fear more than anything that it may take someone other than ourselves. For the greatest fear of death is always that it will pass us by. And leave us there alone.” ~A Man Called Ove

Principles for Success by Ray Dalio

“When life happens, you can be either the author of your life or the victim of it. Those are your only two choices — accountable or unaccountable. This may sound harsh, but it’s true. Every day we choose one approach or the other, and the consequences follow us forever.” ~Gary Keller
